Bio

Trigg "Lightbringer" was born in the Temple of Iomedae.  His Elvish mother, Ceinwyn had been raped by a human.  When her community found out she was pregnant, she was banished.  She sought refuge in a nearby temple.  After delivering the child, she dedicated the child to Iomedae and returned home hoping to be forgiven.

Trigg grew up in the temple as an acolyte.  While many of the other acolytes excelled in strength or intelligence, Trigg's only strengths were his character and his devotion to his deity.  One by one the other acolytes were selected and trained as paladins or clerics. Due to Trigg's physical and mental weakness,  he was never selected for either.  The pain of not being selected by his priest coupled with the abandonment he felt from his elvish family fueled his dedication to his daily temple duties and Iomedae even more.

Life progressed simply in the temple until one fateful event.  The paladins and clerics of his temple had been sent on a mission to rid a rural temple of the evil that had overtaken it, what they thought was a band of orcs.  He traveled along with the group to aide with the horses as well as perform the daily cooking and cleaning duties.  The party got more than expected at the temple.  A powerful cleric of Asmodeus had taken up residence in the temple.  The paladins and clerics of Iomedae fought valiantly, but were unable to to stand against the evil cleric and his minions.  It did not take long for the evil horde to defeat Iomedae's warriors.  Trigg had aided his men the best he could, but was unskilled in warfare.  At the end of the battle, he and his chief priest were all that were left alive.  The evil cleric turned his attention to the chief priest.  It would only be a matter of time until all was lost.  Trigg grabbed a great sword from one of the bodies.  He ran into battle and swung the awkward weapon at one of the orcs.  Trigg was easily disarmed.  The orc laughed as he raised his great axe to deliver the fatal blow to this puny kid.  As his final mortal act, Trigg sought his deity for help.  "Iomedae...I have served you to the best of my ability...Aide me now so your glory can win the day."  What happened next was supernatural.  The priest heard a loud shout from the heavens and saw a bright blue light descending on the battlefield.  The light struck Trigg and blew the orc horde on their backs.  When the light subsided, the priest saw something he had never seen before.  Standing on the battlefield from the remnants of the light was what appeared to be a hound archon encasing the young acolyte Trigg wielding a great sword in his hands.  Trigg aided  by the celestial being no longer wielded the sword awkwardly.  Instead, he used it to slay the orc who had been knocked prone at his feet.  The evil cleric and his horde had seen enough.  They fled the rural temple in fear of the supernatural events that had turned the battle in favor of good.

Trigg stood alone on the battlefield amazed at his new found power.  He could feel the warmth of the blue light that surrounded him.  As he looked, he could see the outline of strength.  He looked at his arms holding the great sword and saw them covered in blue muscles.  Then he heard the new "suit of armor" speak.  "I have been sent to you.  You have been chosen because of your faith and devotion to battle evil in the name of the great Iomedae.  Each morning as you pray, I will appear and aide you in this..."
